Seta Management Solutions, LLC / Reporting Connector

Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Seta Management Solutions, LLC (“Seta,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information accessed through the Seta Reporting Connector (the “Connector”), a private integration with QuickBooks Online.

The Connector is not a consumer product. It is used only by companies that have entered into a written engagement with Seta and whose authorized administrator has expressly connected their QuickBooks Online company to it.

1. Information we access

When a QuickBooks Online company grants authorization, the Connector may read the following from that company’s QuickBooks Online file:

Company profile — legal and trade name, address, fiscal year settings, currency, and industry classification.
Chart of accounts and general ledger — accounts, classes, departments, and journal entries.
Transactions — invoices, sales receipts, credit memos, estimates, bills, bill payments, purchases, purchase orders, deposits, transfers, and vendor credits.
Relationships — customer, vendor, and employee name records as they appear in the accounting file, along with associated contact details and balances.
Items and pricing — products, services, and rates.
Standard reports — profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, general ledger, A/R and A/P aging, sales by customer, and similar QuickBooks-generated reports.

2. Information we do not access

QuickBooks Payments data, payment card numbers, or merchant processing records. The Connector does not request the payments scope.
Bank or credit card login credentials. QuickBooks does not expose these, and we do not ask for them.
Payroll wage or tax filing detail, unless separately and expressly authorized in writing.
Your QuickBooks password or Intuit account credentials. Authorization is handled entirely by Intuit through OAuth 2.0; we never see or store them.

Read-only in practice. Intuit’s accounting scope is technically read and write, because Intuit does not publish a read-only variant. The Connector is built to issue read and report requests only. It does not create, modify, void, or delete records in your books, and we contractually commit to that in our engagement letter.

3. How we use it

We use the information solely to perform the services described in our engagement with the company that authorized the connection — preparing financial statements, reconciliations, quality-of-earnings style analyses, and related reporting and advisory deliverables for that company and the recipients it designates.

We do not use your data to train machine learning models, to build products for resale, or for any purpose outside the engagement that authorized it.

4. Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or license your accounting data. We do not use it for advertising.

We disclose it only:

to the company that authorized the connection, and to the individuals that company directs us to share deliverables with;
to Seta personnel and contractors who need it to perform the engagement, each of whom is bound by confidentiality obligations;
to the service providers listed below, acting on our instructions; and
where required by law, subpoena, or court order — in which case we will notify the affected company unless legally prohibited.

5. Service providers

The Connector and the data it retrieves are hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure, including Google Workspace and Google Apps Script. Google acts as our processor and does not have independent rights to your accounting data. We do not transfer your data outside the United States.

6. Security

All communication with Intuit’s APIs occurs over TLS.
OAuth client secrets and refresh tokens are stored in encrypted credential storage, never in source code or spreadsheets.
Access to stored data is limited to named Seta personnel who require it for the engagement, and is protected by multi-factor authentication.
Each connected company’s data is segregated; the Connector does not combine data across companies.
Credentials are rotated on personnel change and on any suspected compromise.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify the authorizing company without undue delay and no later than required by applicable law.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain accounting data retrieved through the Connector for the duration of the engagement and for a period afterward consistent with our professional record-retention obligations, ordinarily not more than seven years. A company may request earlier deletion of its data at any time by writing to admin@setamanagement.com; we will delete it within thirty days except where retention is required by law or by an unresolved dispute.

When a connection is revoked, the Connector immediately stops retrieving new data and the associated refresh token is destroyed.

8. Your choices

A QuickBooks Online company administrator may revoke the Connector’s access at any time from Settings → Apps → My Apps within QuickBooks Online, without contacting us first. Revocation takes effect immediately and does not require our cooperation.

9. Children

The Connector is a business tool. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes

If we materially change how we handle data accessed through the Connector, we will update this page and revise the effective date above, and notify currently connected companies by email.
